Privacy notice
This is the recruiting site for the Peterson Agencies in Tulsa. It explains what we collect when you apply for a role, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.
Effective date October 26, 2026.
Counsel must review this page before it publishes, and the effective date, the retention periods, the careers email address and the list of named service providers all have to be filled in.
Who we are
The Peterson Agencies, 5801 E 41st St, Suite 601, Tulsa, OK 74135. Phone (918) 938-7777. Email team@petersoncareers.com.
What the application collects
Everything below is something you type or tap. There are no hidden questions.
- The role you picked: in the field, from home, in the office, or not sure yet.
- Your contact details: first name, last name, mobile phone number and email address.
- Where you are: your ZIP code. Not a street address, and not your location from your device.
- Your interview preference: in person, on Zoom, or either; the best time of day for us to call; and when you could start.
- An 18 or older tick. A checkbox, not a date.
- Answers specific to the role you picked: for the sales roles, your license status and either reliable transportation or your setup at home; for the office roles, the kinds of office work you have done and whether you want full-time. Everyone can leave an optional note.
- Your consent record: whether you ticked the contact box, the exact wording that was on screen when you ticked it, the version of that wording, the time, and the phone number as you typed it.
- How you arrived: the campaign source and name if you came from an ad, which version of the home page headline you saw, a random session id, the page you submitted from, and how long the form took.
- Technical details at submission: your IP address, your browser user agent and the timestamp. We store these to prevent abuse and to prove a consent record is real.
The three smaller things you can send us
Three pages take something shorter than an application.
- A callback request (have us call you): your first name, your mobile number, the time of day that suits you, and what you are curious about. A person from our Tulsa team uses it to call you back, and for nothing else.
- A referral (refer someone): your own name, your phone number if you choose to give it, and your friend's name and mobile number. We use your friend's number for one call from a person on our Tulsa team. We never text a referred number, and our automated assistant never calls it. Tell us to remove them, or let them tell us, and we do.
- An interview confirmation or reschedule (the link we send you once an interview is booked): your first name, your phone number, and your answer. If you ask for a new time we also keep the days and times you said suit you.
Each of the three is stored with the same technical details as an application: the timestamp, your IP address and your browser user agent.
What this site never asks for
We do not ask for and do not store a Social Security number, a driver's license number or a date of birth. There is no question anywhere on this site about your record, your health, your citizenship, your marital status, your current pay or your credit.
The state licensing system needs a Social Security number. You enter it there yourself, on the state's own site, later in the process, and it never passes through us. If a form claiming to be ours asks for any of these, it is not ours.
Why we use it
- To decide who to interview, and to route your application to the right role.
- To contact you about your application and to set an interview.
- To keep the records the carrier or the Oklahoma Insurance Department may require.
- To count how many people reach each stage, so we can tell which parts of this site work.
Recruiting only. We do not use applicant details to market insurance to you, we do not add applicants to a customer list, and we do not sell or rent your information to anybody. If that ever changed we would ask you first, in a separate request.
Who receives it
- The hiring team at this agency.
- Service providers who run this site and our messaging on our behalf: the website and database host, the email provider and the text message provider. Today those are Cloudflare (website and database), Resend (email), SignalWire (texts and calls) and ElevenLabs (the automated assistant’s voice calls).
- The upline agency and the carrier, where a submission concerns contracting you as a producer.
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to.
How long we keep it
Applications are kept only as long as we need them for hiring, unless you ask us to delete yours sooner or a records requirement applies.
Call recordings. If you agreed to calls, our calls about your application are recorded, and the call says so at the start. Recordings and their transcripts are kept for 90 days and then deleted. A short written note of the call stays with your application.
Consent records are kept longer than the rest, on purpose. If you ticked the box that allows us to call or text you, we keep that record and the wording you were shown for five years, so that we can show what you agreed to if it is ever questioned. We do not delete a consent record just because an application was declined.
Counsel must set both retention periods. The compliance brief recommends five years for consent records, and a shorter period for the rest of the application, and the two statements have to agree with each other.
Automated decisions
Applications for the sales roles are scored to help us prioritise calls. A person reviews any decision that ends a candidacy, and the score never decides alone. Ask us and we will tell you where you landed and why. Office applications are not scored on the sales criteria at all.
Your choices
- Email team@petersoncareers.com or call (918) 938-7777 to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
- Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. Say stop on a call and the calls stop.
- Every recruiting email carries an unsubscribe link, and we act on it within ten business days.
- Declining contact consent does not affect your application. It is never a condition of applying.
Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party tracker. It keeps a few values in your browser for the length of your visit so a refresh does not lose your answers, and those values stay in your browser.
We count page views and form steps ourselves, on our own server, without an identifier that follows you to any other website. No other party collects information about your activity here or across other sites.
Do Not Track: we do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals, because we do not track you across other websites in the first place.
The site loads one font file set from Google Fonts. That request reaches Google's servers. Nothing else on this site is loaded from anywhere but us.
Children
This site is not directed to children, and applicants must be 18 or older.
Changes to this notice
We post changes on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change materially affects what we do with information already collected, we will say so here and, where we have your email address, tell you directly.
